If your athlete loves volleyball and is ready to take their game to the next level, club volleyball is a great next step! Whether they’ve played school, rec, or are just starting out, club ball offers new opportunities to grow, compete, and have fun. It can seem like a lot at first — tryouts, travel, and new routines — but don’t worry, we’ll walk you through everything you need to know to get started with Insanity Volleyball Club.
1. What Is Club Volleyball?
Club volleyball is a competitive, organized season that runs roughly from December through May. Players train with experienced coaches, compete in tournaments, and grow as athletes and teammates. At Insanity, our mission is simple: to help athletes develop strong fundamentals, confidence, and a true love for the game — all in a positive, supportive environment.
2. Start with Clinics or Development Programs
If your athlete is new to volleyball, our Development Team is a great place to begin. This program is designed for players ages 10–13 who want to build skills and confidence without the full club commitment. It’s a fun, affordable way to get comfortable with the game, meet our coaches, and see if club volleyball feels like the right fit.
3. Attend Open Gyms and Tryouts
Each summer & fall, Insanity hosts open gyms and tryouts for our competitive club teams.
Open gyms give players a chance to meet coaches, shake off the rust, and get a feel for the club atmosphere.
Tryouts are where athletes are evaluated on skills, effort, and attitude.
Don’t stress — we’re not just looking for “perfect” players. We’re looking for potential, passion, and a willingness to learn.
4. Understand the Commitment
Club volleyball is a commitment, but it’s also an incredible experience. Teams typically practice 2–3 times per week and compete in tournaments on select weekends. Depending on your team’s level, tournaments may be local, regional, or travel events.
We encourage families to take a look at our tournament schedule for the year once it's posted on the website to get a feel for the level of commitment.
5. Focus on Growth and Enjoy the Journey
At Insanity, we believe in developing the whole athlete. Yes, we train to win — but more importantly, we train to grow. Every player learns teamwork, discipline, resilience, and confidence that carry over far beyond the court. Whether your athlete dreams of playing in college or simply wants to improve and have fun, there’s a place for them here.
6. Ready to Get Started?
